The best time to wash your brushes is at night or before you go to school or work. They need a few hours to dry completely. When you’re out of the house or asleep, you won’t need them and also won’t feel the urge to randomly check to see if they’re dry. Here is what you’ll need to clean your makeup brushes: extra virgin olive oil, shampoo, and a cup. (A working faucet never hurts either.)
First, take the brushes and hold them brush side up. Pour just a little bit of oil on the bristles. Then, using your fingers, rub the oil into the brushes as well as you can. You should see random multi-colored liquids on your hands. This is everything that’s in your brush. Yucky, huh? Rinse this. Swipe the brushes back and forth in your palm, spread them out, do all sorts of things. Now, one thing to remember is that the residual oil is still in your brush. Meaning that when they dry, they’ll be greasy. Gross, huh? It also affects how your makeup applies. Which is where the shampoo comes out. Imagine the brush as your hair. Now use enough shampoo to cover 1/4th of the brush and wash it three times. If it still feels rather oily, do it an extra time just in case. Use the same amount of shampoo each time and play with the brush to get out any extra oil. The oil conditions your brush and cleans it deeply, but you really don’t want to keep it on the brush. It causes splotchy makeup application.

However, this doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t buy necklaces that follow one color scheme—keep in mind that if your wardrobe follows a certain color scheme (say you look amazing in blue and so three-fourths of your wardrobe is blue), then you can purchase jewelry in that color scheme, or something close like purple or green. It’s all based off the color wheel—all it takes is a little bit of imagination and thought on your part.

Scrubbing the brushes will damage them and eventually cause them to fall out and lose their shape. Lipstick brushes are a bit harder to clean because it ends up stickier than the rest of the lot.
